If you’ve read this site before, you’ll already know about the never-ending trial I have finding a lip colour I actually like, so I was very pleasantly surprised by Coastal Scents’ Glossi Glaze. I tried ’50s Twist’, which looks very pink in the pot, but is actually a lovely natural rose, which enhances your lips without overwhelming them with colour.
In terms of texture, this feels more like a lip balm than a gloss, so I wasn’t surprised to find that it’s actually moisturizing, too: in fact, it reminded me a lot of Benefit’s Benetint lip balm, which I’m a fan of, so it gets the thumbs up for that.
Glossi Glaze feels rock solid to the touch at first, but will soften enough after a few swirls with a lip brush or your finger. One coat gave my lips a nice, natural shine – a few more intensifies that look, although the colour remains subtle.
Overall, a nice, daytime look that’s pleasantly moisturising without any of the stickiness you get with so many lipglosses.
