Another Benefit product, and another wholehearted recommendation from me. This is High Brow – a brow lifting and enhancing pencil or, as I like to think of it, "a face lift in a pencil".

What does it do?

Applied just under the arch of the brow, this enhanced your eyebrows, giving them instant "lift" and creating the appearance of perfect, arched brows, even when you don’t have them. How does it do it? Honestly, I have no idea: it’s hard to put your finger on just what High Brow does to make such a difference, but I can tell you that it does make a difference, making my brows look so much more groomed and dramatic than they do without it. That said, although this looks like it’s going to be a very "eveningy" product, given that it’s essentially a shimmery pencil, it actually goes on fairly naturally, and if you blend it in properly, won’t give you a "plastered with makeup" look.

Dollface tip:

Don’t just use it to highlight your eyebrows. A touch of High Brow in the corner of the eye, next to the nose, will give you a wide-eyed look, and I also use it on the Cupid’s bow of the lips to make them look fuller.

  1. It makes me sad when people don’t like Benefit. I just joined Makeup Alley, and all those girls talk about is high-end makeup that has heavy coverage. Not everyone likes heavy makeup every single day. Benefit is great for those just staring to get into makeup or who don’t like heavy stuff.

  2. Your’re right, Danielle – it’s such a fun brand, and I swear by so many of their products. My beauty case sometimes looks like a Benefit counter 🙂
