Oh. Dear. God. So I have all this to look forward to? We are also replacing our kitchen - starting on Saturday and ending on Tuesday (optimistic? moi?). We began removing the tiles last night and half the plaster with them! Both dining room and garage are crammed full and we still have to find a temporary home for the dishwasher and the washing machine. Maybe I should just take myself on a weekend-long shopping trip...

Be strong :) This looks not only like my old house when we moved in, but also my old house when we moved *out*. Several wardrobes and shelving units were coming to pieces so instead of taking them with us, my ex boyfriend smashed them up with a hammer and took the wood to the dump. I say that he took the wood, but I still kept finding splinters in the carpet, and on the rugs and IN MY FEET. It was like some kind of carpentry apocalypse. I hate DIY...

I get annoyed from the mess that just hanging blinds creates, so I cannot imagine the stress I would feel during home renovations. Hang in there!

(And I LOVE that couch!!)

They say if your marriage can survive building a house or renovations, it can survive anything. Well, you've survived the bathroom renovations, the radiator-come-towel-rack fiasco, and now if you make it through the first floor renovations, you guys should be able to easily make it to your fiftieth anniversary. Easily.
