Love the bench tops, they are really great!
Clara (my small monsterious Scottie dog) has an incident once involving 'horse hoof' glue, which I think we can safely put in the same disgusting category as your fish oil story. (short version: She found it in the garage we didn't think she could get into and spent a few days slowly licking a hole in a solid block of this stuff that was at least 30 years old and it took us ages to work out why she was so stinky. Please don't remind me of how much she licked my face before we worked it out.)

I put the fish oil in that dirt as I didn't want to make my shiny new sink smell! I didn't reckon on Rubin (the world's #1 arse) eating the fish oil sodden dirt!

PS There is a missing bit of plinth under the sink, on the first picture, just in case anyone noticed and though WTF!?
PPS That toaster is temporary as the old one died of a heart attacked during the upheavals

Oh, it looks just beautiful!! I love the bright white with blue accents. I don't ever really spend a whole lot of time in kitchens, unless it's pouring a bowl of cereal or popping a frozen pizza in the oven, but still I have a real soft spot in my heart for a gorgeous, functional kitchen.
