Review | Anastasia Beverly Hills All About Brows Kit
If you read my post about how much I rely on my tweezers, you will know that eyebrows are important to me. Like, really important. And actually, I think eyebrows should be important to everybody. You probably don’t need me to tell you that a well-groomed brow can act like an instant face lift, making you look younger, fresher, and sometimes changing the shape of your face altogether.
A badly-groomed brow, on the other hand? Let’s not even go there…
With this in mind, I’d like to introduce you to my new best friend. It’s Anastasia Beverly Hills’ All About Brows Kit, which is $75 at Sephora, although you can buy the various components separately. This will be going everywhere with me from now on, and not just because it comes in a pretty pink carrying case (Yes, I know the one in this picture is purple, but mine is pink), but because this, quite simply, contains everything you’ll ever need to create those perfectly groomed brows.
What you get:
- Brow powder duo
- Four brow stencils
- Duo Angle/Spooley Brush
- Brow gel
- Eye Lights highlighting pencil
So far the Eye Lights highlighting pencil is a particular favourite of mine. This does much the same thing as Benefit’s High Brow, and I can’t speak highly enough about the difference this kind of product can make to your face. Apply it in the arch of your brows and it will create the illusion of a higher, more perfectly arched brow – I also use it in the inside corners of the eye itself, to make them look brighter and bigger.
Brow Gel is also a must-have for me. In addition to the unibrow, I was also cursed at birth with the longest, straggliest eyebrows known to man. Even when tweezed, they have the power to look like they’ve been dragged through the proverbial hedge backwards if they’re not firmly held in place with a gel. This one by Anastasia does the job perfectly, and comes in ‘clear’, ‘blonde’ and brunette.
This kit has a $171 value, but Sephora are currently selling it in three different shades (Ash Blond, Medium Ash and Brunette) for $75 – a good buy, I think, given that it contains everything you need to give even me a perfect set of brows!
