Tresemme_thermal_recovery I’ve been using Tresemme’s shampoos and conditioners on and off for a while now, but this was the first time I’d tried the Thermal Recovery Conditioner, so I thought it was worth a quick review…

The first thing I have to say about this product, and about Tresemme hair products in general, is what great value for money they are . I paid £3.79 for this, but it’s a 500ml bottle, and it’s lasted me the the best part of a month now, with some still left to go. Pretty good value, no?

As for the conditioner itself, well, it’s pretty good too, now you come to mention it. This is meant for hair that’s been over-exposed to heat, in the form of hairdryers, flat irons etc. I blow-dry my hair every day, and ever since the Haircut from Hell of last month, I’ve been straightening it most days too, so although the condition of my hair wasn’t too bad, I thought some TLC was probably a good idea.

As you can probably infer from how long it’s lasted (I have long hair, so I generally get through a regular sized conditioner every week), a little bit of this goes a long way. I need just a small dollop to coat my entire hair, which makes it a good buy for girls with long hair.

Application is the same as any other conditioner: I tend to smooth it on after shampoo and then leave it to sink in while I shave my legs etc, then rise. One application is enough as this is a fairly intensive conditioner: with that said, it’s not so heavy that you can’t use it every day. That’s what I’ve been doing, and it hasn’t made my hair greasy, which is always a plus.

Once rinsed, this leaves my hair feeling very smooth – it can be brushed through while wet with no tangles, and it dries to a soft shine. The conditioner contains Aloe Vera and Almond Oil extracts, and although it’s lightly fragranced, it’s not overpowering, the way some hair products can be.

Overall, great value for the money, and something I will definitely buy again.
