I have a confession to make:  I never really expect very much from new skin care products. With a few notable exceptions, they never tend to live up to the claims on the box (or in the advertising) and I inevitably end up, if not exactly disappointed, then distinctly underwhelmed.

Which is why, when I found myself sitting at my desk a few days ago and absent-minded stroking my own cheek, I was just a little bit surprised. But you see, my skin felt so soft. And smooth! And so, a day or later, I found myself doing it again. Yes, it was Lancome Genifique, living up to its claims of giving me noticeably better skin within seven days – and I was pretty damn impressed!

As for wrinkles, well I don't really have those (yet) and I can't say there's been a difference so far in the fine lines on my skin, but I CAN say my skin has felt wonderfully soft and smooth this past week, and I've been really pleased with the results.

I'll be continuing to use this, and will update again in a few weeks. In the meantime, there's more information at the Lancome website.

  1. Hi,
Can you add a post about the INCI list of Lancome Génifique? I am very interested in it 🙂 But I would like to know the ingredients.
    Thanks, Mia

  2. I am a Lancome beauty advisor, I would like to say that Genifique is a great product, but i would like to correct a statement. Genifique is not a serum. It is an activator. Why does this matter? Genifique will penetrate the skin even deeper than a serum, and is used best in conjuction with a serum and moisturizer. =] Genifique improves the quality of the skin, I’ve noticed mine is softer and more even. If you want a solution to wrinkles a serum and target solution moisturizer should be used. Our new High Resolution refill 3x line is amazing and more amazing when used with the High Resolution collaser 5x serums. =]
