Review | Eyelure Girls Aloud False Eyelashes by Cheryl Cole

If you follow me on Twitter, you may already be aware of my excitement this weekend at the arrival of a huge package containing five set of the Girls Aloud/Eyelure flase eyelashes, which I wrote about back in February.

There are five different styles to choose from here (one designed by each member of the band) and I have all five of them, so I’ll be reviewing them all over the next couple of weeks, but naturally I decided to start off with the most dramatic lashes of all: the “Cheryl Cole” creations, which you can see me wearing in the images below:

I absolutely loved these. True, they’re not exactly what you’d call “subtle”, and I felt a little bit like a drag queen wearing them, but the effect is very dramatic and glamorous, and the kind of thing I could totally imagine wearing for a big night out. They’re also very easy to apply, come with their own glue, and are re-usable, which makes them a good buy for £5 each.

As I said above, I think Cheryl’s lashes are probably the most obvious of the lot: they’re dark, dense and thick, whereas some of the others are more fluttery/natural. Look out for reviews of all of them coming up later this week: I also have some of Nicola Roberts’ ‘Dainty Doll’ foundation on its way to review too, so this week will have something of a Girls Aloud theme here at Dollface. I promise it’s unintentional…

Oh, the eyelashes: at the moment they’re only available from Superdrug, but they’ll be available at Claire’s from April 23rd, New Look from 1st May, Boots from 17th May, Sainsbury’s from June, and ASOS.com from April 20th.
