Light up lip gloss: it’s not a new idea, but it is a pretty handy one, especially when the lipgloss in question has a mirror on the side as well as a light in the lid, allowing you to apply it on the go, anytime you like.

This one is by MeMeMe, and it’s called Light Me Up High Shine Lip Gloss. In the picture above, I’m wearing shade #3 – ‘Radiant’, which is one of those lovely, natural looking “my lips, but better” shades. It’s actually quite a bit glossier than it looks in the photo, too, so I can confirm that it does live up to the “high shine” claim, even although it may not look like it does here.

I don’t wear lipgloss very often, mostly because of the “hair stuck to the lips” syndrome. This one, however, is non-sticky, and nice and comfortable to wear, as well as being a flattering, natural looking colour, so I may be persuaded to wear it more often.

MeMeMe products are available from Superdrug, and this one is £5.24.

  1. Maybe I’m applying it wrong or something, but I’m not a fan of high shine glosses. Every time I try to wear one I get comments like “Ew, why are your lips so shiny?” and “Sweetie, you should wipe some of that stuff off.”
