I have to say this for Marc Jacobs: he does a really nice perfume bottle, doesn’t he? Unfortunately, that’s about all I CAN say about his new ‘Lola’ fragrance, because I haven’t had an opportunity to actually try it. I love the floral lid on the bottle, though, and going by the description alone, it sounds like it’ll be well worth a sniff.
Created by Ann Gottlieb and Calice Becker, this contains top notes of pink pepper, pear and grapefruit, middle notes of peony, geranium and rose ad base notes ofvanilla, musk and tonka bea, which sounds very fruity/floral, which makes that bottle top seem even more appropriate. This is fairly expensive, with the 100ml version retailing for £72, but if you’d like to try it, you can buy it online at Colette.[Marc Jacobs ‘Lola’ Eau de Parfum, £72.82]
