MAC Ruby Woo compared to Revlon Really red

Lipstick Comparison: MAC Ruby Woo vs Revlon Really Red

Revlon Really Red and MAC Ruby Woo

Earlier this week I promised a quick comparison of Revlon’s ‘Really Red’ lipstick and MAC’s ‘Ruby Woo’, which it’s often compared to, so here it is! You can see the two colours in their respective tubes above, and here’s what they look like swatched on my hand:

And on my lips:

Revlon Vs MAC

As you can see, they’re very similar, but not EXACTLY the same. On me, the Revlon lipstick has a slightly more orange undertone, while the MAC has a blue-ish one. (When they’re NOT side-by-side, I don’t notice this at all, and would describe them both a “true” reds…) I like both colours, but as I discussed earlier this week, find the Revlon lipstick far superior in terms of application, comfort and wear, so it’s the one I’ve been using, although Ruby Woo will probably always have a place in my heart too!

I love the Revlon one too, I gave my Ruby Woo away because it didn’t work for me.

  • Great comparison! I prefer Really Red on you, and probably on myself too. Blueish reds tend to make my teeth appear more yellow and accentuate the redness in my skin.

  • You look great in both! I find Really Red pulls quite blue on me and is a lot more intense. Maybe it’s the flash here. But I much prefer warm reds, loving Lady Danger!
